Sustainability Commitment Statement

Hummingbird™ META builds sustainability into how we operate day to day — across environmental, social, and economic dimensions — rather than treating it as a separate initiative. This statement sets out what that looks like in practice, and where to find the evidence behind it.

Environmental Commitment

Hummingbird™ META operates as a fully remote, digital-first organisation with no physical office, which keeps our direct environmental footprint low by design. Our practices are informed by ISO 14001's environmental management principles. Our full commitments are set out in our [Environmental Policy →].

Social Commitment

Through the GSS+ Framework and the Hummingbird Certified Mentor (HCM) programme, we build inclusive pathways for entrepreneurs — with a deliberate focus on women and youth — to develop SDG-aligned enterprises. Mentee progress is tracked against our Readiness Tier system, and every HCM mentor is individually logged with a unique HCM ID, so this is a measured practice, not an anecdotal claim.

Economic Commitment

Hummingbird™ META strengthens Pacific MSMEs and local economies by helping entrepreneurs formalise their operations, access finance, and build systems that scale responsibly — delivered through GSS+ and a locally certified mentor network, rather than a one-off training model.

Where We Work

Hummingbird™ META currently delivers GSS+ and HCM programming across Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Palau. We report progress quarterly, in line with our Impact & Readiness reporting cycle — see our published [2026 Gender Snapshot →].

Declaration

Hummingbird™ META affirms its commitment to continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We report on progress against this statement annually.
